Streaming Music in I2P
There is a lot of music on I2P network including streaming radio stations.
To listen to streaming music or just mp3 files on i2p, use a music player as usual, but point it at your proxy.
how to stream
In general, to use any application layer software over i2p network, configure it to use your proxy to reach out using whatever protocol.
vlc and mpv both read an environmental var: http_proxy so if you set that, they'll use i2p. If your vlc install does not have the cvlc alias you can use vlc --no-video
export http_proxy=127.0.0.1:4444Here is link to a site http://eepradio.i2p, with several streams. When you find a song to stream, mouse over the play button to find the link, and play it in your terminal like so:
To tell vlc, mpv and friends to stop using the proxy, get rid of that env var:
export http_proxy=searching
Here is a site running an instance of soundcloak software that has a nice search interface to look for songs/artists. here's the search results page:

If you're interested in an Android client, check out this site which I have not even tried so caveat emptor! I'm not sure if there is an easy solution for iOS users.
