Why don't you use Javascript on this site?
Some information is sent to the server when you request a web page, this is an inherent part of the HTTP protocol. That information is limited, and generally contains very little information about your device and software. Much more detailed information can be obtained using Javascript to "fingerprint" your web browser and operating system.
The truth is that Javascript never needs to be used, web developers choose to use it. The reasons they choose to are because those web developes are prioritizing their convenience, or perceived user interface benefits over your privacy and security interests.
Why do you advocate using privacy respecting networks?
The way I framed the question conveys the perspective I take on the issue. Mixnets, overlay networks, the so-called "darkweb" are places where people go to avoid tracking, fingerprinting, and all the invasive surveillance that takes place on the regular internet.
For too long we've been fed this bullshit that it is for our own good. In fact all the trackers, the data brokers, the surveillance companies that operate online have an interest in prevent you from maintaining basic privacy. That privacy is your human right, and those companies employ lobbyists to compel governments to allow them to operate against your best interests.
